Wingboards, bags and foils are from STARBOARD. The Wingboard range is awesome, with additional width for good stability, even on the smallest of the boards. The foils are well-balanced with perfect glide and the Quick Lock 2 system makes rigging up and swapping wings fast, easy and secure.

Wings are from FREEWING. We sell our used GO wings which are ultra-compact and forgiving, taking the early-level foiler into flight with ease. We have new and used Air V3 premium wings with a tighter canopy for lighter or more experienced riders. The Firm-Flex handles supplied on the Air V3s can be easily swapped to solid handles in seconds. The latest Air V4, with its Ultra-X canopy, stiffer frame and rock-soild, narrow carbon boom can be tried at our base at QMSC before buying. They are amazing wings and we love them!

On-water protection is from market-leader FORWARD WIP, with a range of 50N impact vests and helmets available in all sizes. These can all be tried at our QMSC base.

Wetsuits, boots, gloves and accessories are from MANERA. This is premium kit and, once you try it, you wont be going back!

We use this stuff extensively all year round so know it inside out. The used kit is really well looked after - whether it's Simon's own kit or our school equipment that gets rigged on astroturf and carried carefully to the freshwater sailing area.

Used Wingfoil Equipment

All the wing kit we use in the school gets rotated at least once per year. Our used kit is typically in great condition as our sessions usually have a maximum of 2 people on them and the kit is rigged on Astroturf and carried carefully into the water. Simon's personal wing kit also gets replaced annually and is very well cared for.

Have a look to see what 2023/2024 wingfoil kit can be bought or reserved now. A 15% deposit is payable to reserve items and reservations will be confirmed listing any serial numbers. Please speak to us if you don’t see what you’re looking for. We have loads of stuff and can help you with new or used kit.

SPECIAL ADVICE: Take care to select the correct kit!

Getting your initial kit wrong, could mean that your progression will be slow and difficult. We have met a lot of people who have rushed out to buy kit early, felt pressured kit that is too small and wished they had bought something bigger. The ‘bigger board’ (around 130 - 150 litres for adults >75kg) is the one that will help you to navigate steadily through those first tentative flights to achieve sustained flights and to start going for gybes. Lighter people of <75kg may opt for a 115 litre board. Those who are lighter and have extensive experience in other activities such as windfoiling, kitefoiling etc. may get away with learning on a smaller board yet most of us are likely to fit into the 115/130/140/150 litre board categories defined above.

If you outgrow your first big board in 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months then please see this as success! The board did the job for you and got you to the point where you are ready to go smaller. You can celebrate this by selling it and buying a smaller one. Will you lose money? More then likely yes, a little, yet that will have been the natural cost of progressing you through the essentials. Without a big board in that early, informative phase, you might still be floundering around wondering why you are still struggling to stand up and turn around.

It’s all about having the right tool for the job. People who buy kit that is too small to learn on typically give the following reasons:

  • “I was told to go for a small board as I will grow out of a bigger board and need to change it.”

  • “It looked cool compared to the bigger boards.”

  • “It fits in my car and I don’t want to get a roof rack.”

  • “It fits in my cupboard...it slides away under the bed.”

  • “It was cheap.”

  • "My mate was offloading it."

We advise you to take a few lessons before you commit to buying any kit. Talk to us and let us help you to get it right so you can progress steadily and enjoy this incredible sport to the max.
